In the order acquisition phase the first major interface is to production planning The second major interface is between detailed design and production planning. Here purchasing and material ordering starts. The third major interface is the beginning of the production process. Here modules are produced internally in the cooperating yards and finally mounted All processes are highly interconnected and complex, where main and sub-processes depend on each other, Calculation of the ship depends an experience and previous ships of similar types. Only for major components like the propulsion system actual prises are enquired from suppliers. |
