Creating an innovative European Open Maritime Industry through facilitating the integration of standards into new business practices and services

Euromind - a project that supports standardization in Shipbuilding Industry. By selecting reference standards and best practices for the supply chain this project make European shipbuilders and related organizations aware of performance improvement options for their businesses. Supported by the EU Europe Innova - innovation and Standards programme, Euromind stresses that robustness and competitive advage can be achieved by implementing certain reference standards not only at the yard, but also at national and european level.

Key to improvement is INTEROPERABILITY - yards, suppliers, subcontractors and so on working together with clear communication channels, structures and tools. Therefore, Euromind primary focusses on Information Exchange.
